Hello, Just brewed my first batch of this coffee today. When I received the shipment and opened the box. It had a pleasant smell, so I thought this is promising. The next morning I brewed a pot and the aroma was pretty good. Then I pour myself a cup and was really not that impressed. The flavor was quite the same as my original Dunkin donut original coffee. I must state that I completely cleaned my coffee brewer from any previous coffee I had brewed in it before hand. I do have a pour over and will try that tomorrow to see if there is any differences I can tell? Im not disappointed as such just surprised at not really having that much of a difference for the price. This was the first ever that I have tried Foxen Coffee. I will try other coffee of theirs soon. Thanks so much.

Hello Jamie, Most of Blue Mountain coffees are exported to Japan so its rare to find in North America. That rarity in combination with high quality is what makes the price.

There are many great coffees out there and Jamaican Blue Mountain is considered among some of the highest rated in the world. I hope you can get the most out of this coffee because it's something special, We recommend some brewing tips: 1) 5% coffee to water ratio (1oz of ground coffee for every 20oz of water), use high quality water, water temp should be 205 degrees (+/- 5 degrees), use high quality filters, adjust grind settings.

My favorite brewing method for the Blue Mountain is Espresso or Pour Over.
